A sucessão em Apodi parece, no mínimo, estranha. Os três candidatos à Prefeitura estão encrencados com a Justiça Eleitoral. Ou seja, o processo tem três postulantes hoje, mas pode ficar sem nenhum, caso prevaleça os rigores da lei.
A prefeita Gorete Pinto (PMDB) sobrevive de uma liminar deferida pela Justiça local, depois de ter as suas contas reprovadas pela Câmara Municipal. Pela Lei da Ficha Limpa ela está inelegível.
A mesma situação – sem liminar – vive o ex-prefeito José Pinheiro Bezerra. Ele teve as contas reprovadas pelo Tribunal de Contas do Estado (TCE).
O terceiro candidato, professor Flaviano Monteiro (PC do B), está impedido pela resolução do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) que tornou inelegíveis todos os políticos que tiveram contas da campanha de 2010 reprovadas pela Justiça. Monteiro foi candidato a deputada estadual nas eleições passadas e não teve o zelo com a prestação de contas.
Para piorar, a quarta opção seria o ex-prefeito Evandro Marinho, o Vandinho, mas este entrou na “lista negra” do Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU), entregue ao TSE.
Se prevalecer o que está na Lei e a Justiça fazê-la cumprir, o município de Apodi ficar sem os seus candidatos à Prefeitura.
